The Clean Peachy App

This section covers the Clean Peachy mobile app used by our cleaners and office team. It applies in addition to everything above. Effective September 10, 2026.

Clean Peachy is a residential cleaning company. The Clean Peachy app is the field app for the people who clean with us ("cleaners") and for our office team. It is not for customers, and it does not collect anything from people who are not signed in to a Clean Peachy account.

Who this policy covers

  • Cleaners — independent cleaning professionals with a Clean Peachy account.
  • Office team — Clean Peachy staff who use the admin inbox in the app.

You sign in with the same account you already use on cleanpeachy.com. The app shows the same pages; the difference is what the app can do on your phone, described below.

What the app collects, when, and why

Location — only while you are on your way to a job

  • When: from the moment you tap "On my way" until you check out of that job. Not before, not after, not on days you have no job, never while the app is merely installed or open.
  • What: your phone's GPS position, roughly once every 30 seconds while you move (at least 50 metres apart), with the accuracy reported by your phone.
  • Why: so the office can tell the client when you will arrive, check you in automatically when you reach the property (within 60 metres), and see that you have left on time. The same information drives the "late to leave" and "no check-in" reminders you would otherwise get by text.
  • Background: iOS and Android will ask for "Always" / "Allow all the time" permission the first time you tap "On my way". That is what lets tracking continue when you switch to Maps or lock the phone. The tracking still stops at check-out; the OS shows its own indicator (the blue bar on iOS, a persistent notification on Android) the whole time it is on.
  • If you say no: the app still works. "On my way" and "Check in" show a short explanation and a link to Settings; you can check in by uploading your first before-photo or the office can check you in. Your permission state (on / off) is stored so the office knows why an arrival time is missing.
  • Where it goes: to Clean Peachy's servers only. It is stored with the job record and is visible to the office team. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for anything except running the job. We keep it as long as the job record exists.

Photos — the before and after pictures of the job

  • When: only when you tap "Take photos" or "Choose from gallery" on a job.
  • What: the photos you take or pick, plus the job they belong to. The app does not scan or upload your photo library; the gallery picker only gives us the pictures you select.
  • Why: proof of work and quality — the office and, for after-photos, the client can see the state of the home before and after the clean.
  • Offline: photos wait on your phone and upload on their own when you have signal. A photo is never uploaded twice.

Notifications

  • When: after you allow notifications. You can turn them off in Settings at any time.
  • What: a device token that lets us send you push notifications, plus whether you opened them.
  • Why: job offers, confirmations, day-before and morning-of reminders, and photo reminders arrive as notifications instead of (or, for the morning-of reminder, as well as) text messages. Office team members receive urgent inbox alerts. If a job offer or confirmation is not opened within a few minutes we send the same message by text so nothing is missed.

Device information

  • What: platform (iOS / Android), OS version, device model, app version, and your permission choices for location and notifications.
  • Why: to know which notifications can reach you and to help you when something is not working.

Account and job information

Everything else in the app is the same account, schedule, job, payout and message information you already see on cleanpeachy.com, covered by your agreement with Clean Peachy.

What the app does not do

  • No advertising, no ad identifiers, no analytics SDKs, no third-party trackers.
  • No access to your contacts, calendar, microphone, or files beyond the photos you pick.
  • No location collection outside the "On my way" → check-out window.
  • No selling or renting of personal data, ever.

Third parties

  • Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) deliver notifications to your phone. They receive the device token and the notification text.
  • Stripe handles cleaner payouts on cleanpeachy.com; the app opens the same pages. Card and bank details are entered on Stripe's own pages.
  • Our servers are hosted with our infrastructure provider in the United States.

Your choices

  • Location and notifications — change them any time in your phone's Settings for the Clean Peachy app; the app reflects the new state immediately.
  • Delete the app — stops all collection. Your account and job history stay on cleanpeachy.com under your agreement with Clean Peachy.
  • Delete your account or data — write to privacy@cleanpeachy.com. We delete or anonymise personal data that we are not required to keep for tax, payroll or legal reasons.

Children

The app is for adults working with Clean Peachy. It is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We will post changes here and update the effective date. Material changes are announced in the app.
